Description
Role at a glance
Make the app feel fast where users actually feel it.
Nimbus Creative (demo) ships a design-heavy editor on the web. You will own cold start, interaction latency, and bundle size—not “paint it green in Lighthouse on a $3k MacBook” theater.
What you will do
- Profile real sessions: RUM by device, geography, and entry route; kill regressions in CI with perf budgets and filmstrip diffs
- Collaborate with design: fewer blocking fonts, better skeletons, and motion that respects `prefers-reduced-motion`
- Harden the editor: undo stacks, large-doc rendering, and virtualization that do not desync the canvas
What we need
- 5+ years shipping advanced TypeScript UIs, including performance and accessibility
- You can explain hydration trade-offs and your decisions around server vs. client data fetching in specific terms
How we will interview you
Code walkthrough of a real perf regression you fixed, a live session optimizing a page we give you, and a collaboration exercise with a designer on a real constraint.
